Biography
JOANNA BOGLE is an author, journalist, and broadcaster,
whose "Book of Feasts and Seasons" has been a popular
handbook for families for over a decade, offering ideas
for things to make, do, eat and sing for all the traditional
seasons of the year. She has recently became a children's
author, writing under the pen-name "Julia Blythe"
Trained as a journalist on local newspapers in Surrey,
Joanna Bogle became a local borough councillor (London
Borough of Sutton) in 1974 - at that time the youngest
councillor in Britain. Her first published books were
on local history, and the series on Croydon Airport which
she wrote with two other local enthusiasts is still selling
well. As a councillor, Joanna served on the Education
and Leisure and Recreation Committees and had a particular
